Our premium range of handloom dhoti is Sundried Handloom also known as unakkupaavu, which is a delicacy found solely in Balaramapuram, a village located at Thiruvananthapuram which is well known for its exquisite handloom clothing. As the name suggests the yarns used for weaving are hand-starched and dried under sunlight which is then weaved using the hang yarn technique, which gives the clothing a higher quality and smoother texture. The fibre used for weaving the border/kara is double mercerised which reduces the fabric shrinkage and gives it a silk-like lustre. This feature alone makes it the most preferred fabric segment in the world.
